For the first time ever, entrants to the International Pet Photography Awards can now purchase personalised video critiques of their work from one of our expert judges.

Each video is 2–3 minutes long and provides a constructive, thoughtful analysis of your image, highlighting strengths, identifying areas for improvement, and offering real-world advice to help you grow as a photographer.

You’ll receive your critique from one randomly assigned judge. A limited number of feedback videos are available in English, with a small quantity of critiques available in German.

Choose Your Level of Visibility

Public Feedback: $20 per image

Your video will be part of our new public Critique Library, helping others learn through your example.

Private Feedback: $30 per image

Only you can view your video, accessible securely in your personal Awards Portal.

Video feedback is optional and can be selected during the entry process.

Please note: Numbers are strictly limited - once all slots are filled, no additional video feedback will be available.

All video feedback will be completed and available by 1 December, 2025.

Video Feedback FAQ

Do I still get written feedback?

Yes! Whether or not you opt for video feedback, every submission will still receive written feedback from two separate judges, which will be released along with the results.Your video feedback will be recorded after the judging results are released, to ensure those results are not delayed.

Can I choose which images get Video Feedback?

Yes! You can choose for some or all of your images to receive video feedback. Simply purchase however many video feedback credits you need, and then allocate them to your images in the Current Submissions page.

Can I add Video Feedback after I have submitted an image?

Yes! You can add video feedback to any of your images, as long as it's still available, up until entries close.

How long will the feedback video be?

Each video is typically around 2-3 minutes long, depending on the complexity of your image.

What language is the Video Feedback in?

By default, feedback videos will be recorded in English. We are able to offer a limited number in German, and hope to expand this to other languages going forwards. Please specify your preferred language in the Awards Portal. Note, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide feedback in your preferred (non-English) language, but we will do our best to accommodate you. Also note that written feedback is only available in English.

When will I receive my Video Feedback?

As this is the first year we are offering Video Feedback, we have given judges an extended timeframe to complete all their videos. We will have all Video Feedback complete no later than 1 December, 2025. This is to allow the judges time to record their feedback, and for us to process and upload it.

Why is there an option for public Video Feedback?

We believe that by watching feedback like that given in the videos, by industry leading experts, is an excellent learning tool. Our hope is that we can build a critique library that will be a fantastic learning resource for other pet photographers around the world.

If you are happy to allow your image to be critiqued and added to the public critique library, thank you. You'd be able to access your feedback either via the public critique library, or via the awards portal.

We completely understand if you'd rather have your feedback privately, so you have the option for private feedback which will only ever be visible to you, via the awards portal.
